COMMON FITTING PROBLEMS

Creating the perfect made-to-measure shirt that fits in every way is not an easy task. Measures are unique for every body and it’s all about proportion. So don’t worry if there are some complications in the process. Your first alteration is on the house.

TOO TIGHT AT THE STOMACH?

Increase the midsection width of the shirt

TOO TIGHT AT THE BACK WHEN REACHING FORWARD?

Consider adding pleats at the back. They will give approximately +2″ to your range of movement. You can find other possible solutions at the Fit Assistance section.

SLEEVES ARE COMING DOWN TOO FAR OVER YOUR HANDS?

Make sure cuffs are sized appropriately to your wrists and sleeves come down to the center of the back of the hand when cuffs are unbuttoned.

TOO LOOSE IN THE MIDDLE?

Reduce the midsection width of the shirt or consider using darts at the back. They will remove a total of 1.5” of fabric, 75” each.

TOO SHORT TO BE WORN UNTUCKED?

Make sure that the tail comes to the center of the butt and the curves of the tail at the sides fully cover the top of the pants.

HOLES APPEAR CONSTANTLY THROUGH THE ELBOWS OF THE SHIRT?

Try widening the sleeve or choosing Traditional Two-pleat cuff instead of Slim One-pleat cuff. If nothing else helps, you can always use thicker fabric.

TOO TIGHT UNDER THE ARMPITS?

Increase either the sleeve, or the chest width. You might also want to increase the shoulder slope.
